Whew! After two weeks of making sure all students and teachers have all the textbooks they need, the library staff was finally able to turn its attention to reopening the library.
Today was our first open day, and three "regulars" walked in the minute the doors were unlocked. Andrew T. was so excited to be the first student of the 2013/14 school year to check out a brand new novel.
We received quite a few new fiction titles over the summer. We are cataloging and processing them as fast as we can. Be sure to stop by to see the additions added to the "New Books" display daily.
As I glance around the room right now, I'm excited to see a pretty full house. There are AVID students working together on math homework. There are some students quietly working on history homework. Others are on computers. All seem happy to be here.
